Menter newydd a chyffrous yw Wyrcws Llanfyllin, ar gyfer adloniant, addysg, y celfyddydau a menter gymdeithasol yng Nghymru. Bydd y prosiect arloesol hwn yn ymgorffori cerddoriaeth a theatr, defnydd busnes a’r gymuned, addysg a hyfforddiant, hanes a threftadaeth mewn modd cyfannol.

Yn bwysicaf oll, bydd Wyrcws Llanfyllin yn gymdeithasol gynhwysol; gan fod o fudd i holl aelodau’r gymuned leol a’r gymuned ehangach, a bydd y safle’n cael ei adfywio o fewn fframwaith ecolegol a chynaliadwy.

Fel canolfan adnoddau addysgol, byddwn yn darparu cyfleoedd a phrofiadau dysgu ystyrlon, deinamig a phriodol ar draws yr ystod o oedrannau, galluoedd ac anghenion. Ein nod yw gwella ansawdd bywyd trwy addysg, a darparu gwybodaeth ysbrydoledig a hygyrch mewn awyrgylch sy’n amgylcheddol greadigol.

  • Workhouse Gallery opens its doors

    gallery_in_progress_200On Thursday 27th November the Workhouse Gallery opens its doors for a special preview of artwork from 6pm (read all about it here). The gallery has been kindly supported by the The Bodfach Trust and is a new project at the Llanfyllin Workhouse. There will be a range of products in a wide variety of disciplines and materials from jewellery and textiles to furniture and fine art.    Amongst the exhibitors will be Viki Govan and Richard Warner of Iron Vein in Welshpool who create bespoke metal work sculpture and furniture; awarding winning glass artist Angharad Whitfield from Brecon; local artist Symond Whittle, who works with Oil Painting and contempory sculptures and distinguished artist Rachel Montgomery who creates decorative panels using glass.  A programme of exhibitions and events will be taking place over the next 12 months and the gallery will also be available for hire for private exhibitions.

    Venue: Indoor Venue

    Come and do all your Christmas shopping at the Workhouse, there will be demonstrations for you to get involved with, stalls selling local crafts, delicious food, unique gifts, decorations, a portrait photographer, mulled wine, hot chestnuts and more.

    Last year we had 30 stalls this year promises to be bigger and better AND INDOORS. The Gallery at The Workhouse will also be open, so you can also see and buy some accomplished art and craft work from around the region.

    Come and see what has been happening during the last year to restore the building and improve The Workhouse facilities, the venue and future workshops for rent. Come and get involved with the project or just find out what is going on.
